Welcome!

In this blog I hope to engage my readers with the dwellings and lifestyle of a college kid in the 21st century. My goal is to cover a range of topics that relate to the daily life of kids who although meet the age limit for being "considered" an adult are quickly learning what all that means. Navigating college in this day in age is not anything like what are parents have told us from their times in college. With the rise of technology and the developments of the digital age, the struggles and triumphs of college students are always new and changing. How to deal with the situations that college life throws at you isn't always spelled out for you and while I wouldn't consider myself an expert, I hope my experiences can give people insight into how they might approach their own problems.

My name is Amber MacKay, I'm a junior at a women's liberal arts college in southern Virginia. I've moved 3 hours away from home, away from my family, friends, and anyone I've ever known. I was excited for college, and still absolute love every minute of it. It hasn't always been an easy ride but I've learned a lot and think I've gained some knowledge that might be useful for current, future, and who knows maybe even past graduates of college. Making the right decision, especially in college, isn't always easy but knowing how to deal with the aftermath of making the wrong one can be easing and I hope to provide some of that in this blog.
